The Pirate girl

I forgot to say that all weekend at Crown Elizabeth kept wondering over to the next camp, who were a pirate ship. She pretty much adopted them, and they her, they were actually very quiet and calm pirates that had kids at home, and they thought she was super cute. Red even let her wear his hat, which is something that most pirates don't do, let someone else wear their hat.

All of us at Crown Posted by Hello

SO we went to Crown

And we had a good time. I think that it would have been better if I had gotten a bit more me time, but it was ok.
Friday
We left for Tres Pinos on Friday at 1, and got there about 4ish. Elizabeth was pretty go on the trip, but she would not take a nap. She sat in the driver's seat in the car for most of the unpacking when we got there, her choice, so at least we weren't herding her too much right away. David realized he forgot his shoes so had to run into town, and was going to take Elizabeth with him, but when she realized I was staying she wigged. Took her out of the car, and when she realized Daddy was still going, wigged again. She spent the next hour and a half crying for daddy. That was fun. Soon as David got back we made dinner and then put Elizabeth to bed. I was pretty worried about that, but she slept like a log. In fact, Matt's car was right next to our camp and it went off, and that didn't even wake her up, she was exhausted. We played Toblero some, then went to bed. Elizabeth did wake up once around 4am, but she went right back to sleep.

Sat
Elizabeth woke us up at 6:30am, that was fun, since we had not gotten to bed until about midnight or so, and i had not slept well, because it was so darn cold. Elizabeth was fine though, she had more blankets then us and was in a sleeper.
Seth and Bug and Jack and Liz got there about 9am or so, and we helped them unload. we mostly just hung out at camp for the morning, then it was naptime for Elizabeth. At 2 I went to embroidery guild, andDavid took Elizabeth to page school. Normally page school is for older kids, but they were dyeing easter eggs, so she went to do that. They seemed to have fun. Mostly we hug out in camp after that, until dinner and bed for Elizabeth.
That evening everyone started drinking, but the two most drunk were Janet and David. Yep, my husband. He decided it would be agood idea to make a drink he called sweet revenge, which included some of everything on the table, including the 151. Almost every one in camp got drunker and drunker, and louder and louder. Janet played Toblaro with Liz, and quite little Liz got rather loud and biligerent. The West kingdom Senachal stopped by and told us some good jokes, as well as the pirates camped next door. It was after they left that our camp got so loud they woke Elizabeth, and I kicked them all out. Almost everyone left for several hours, I think they were partying on the Eric. I was the last sober one up, so I had to be in charge of the fire. David and Janet both got rather ill before we had to put them each to bed.

Sunday
Elizabeth let us sleep until 7:30, and David felt mostly ok since he had been so ill the night before. We were actually the last ones out of camp, we left about 11 and got home about 2pm. Elizabeth fell asleep about half an hour out, and we managed to get her to lay down in her crib. We took showers and crashed in bed for an hour until she woke up.

Sunday after Crown
We gave Elizabeth her Easter basket, and the easter basket from Nona and Poppy. Then we went over to the Zimmers for Easter Dinner and an egg hunt. Elizabeth had fun, some of the eggs were real, some had candy, and every egg that she found had to be opened before we could continue. there were a doz eggs for each kid, so when each kid had a doz they had to sit down. Elizabeth was the last kid to find all her eggs. We hung out for a while and then came home and we all went to bed, we were really tired.

Frantic packing...

Well, once I got the garb box out I cheared up a bit, when we went to our last event they had had a "garage sale" and we had gotten a few different pieces of garb, so I am not as badly dressed as I first thought, so that is good. Managed to get most of the stuff pulled out of the garage and sorted out before David got home and stuff in the washer. there were three loads of laundry which takes forever in these machines, it is almost 1am andthe last load is finally in the dryer. I ran to walmart and got some stuff I needed, and David went to the grocery store while I packed most of the car. He is now going to go to bed (he has to work a half day tmw) while I wait for the laundry to finish. I think that we can get all the stuff in my car, Only becuase Janet decided to go (horray) so we don't need all the kitchen stuff or the pavilion, otherwise we would have had to take 2 cars. We still might have to, if the trunk won't fit in the back seat with Elizabeth. We shall see in the morning. I really hope I don't have to try and rearrange the whole car tmw, that would suck.

And now March Crown

So I didn't do anything last night to get ready for crown, and just like often happens David had to go and decide that he was going to make it so we are going, and now I am stressed out of my head with all the stuff I have to do to get ready. Not to mention that I don't have any decent Garb, I was going to be sewing a dress last night and today, and since we had decided we weren't going, I didn't work on it, and now I don't have time to make one. We also don't have anyone to feed the cats, and since the Zimmers are not going, I have to add grocery shopping to the list of stuff to do. I am not a happy camper at this point......

No March Crown

Looks like there is a good chance we are not going to go to crown this weekend, though it will not be raining anymore, as of yesterday the Eric was still underwater, and so the whole place will be pretty mucky and muddy this weekend, and so Janet and I think that taking the kids out in that would not be fun. Of course David doesn't agree and wants to go, so he is grumpy and keeps saying that it should be fine, and look it isn't going to rain etc etc.

Elizabeth's new garb Posted by Hello

This and That

I have been furiously sewing for the last couple weeks, and I have mostly been working on SCA garb, for the upcoming March Crown over easter weekend. I have so far made 2 underdresses, one overdress and a cloak for Elizabeth,as well as a cloak for myself. Next is a tunic for David, and a dress for me, we shall see how much I get done before this weekend. That is of course assuming we don't get rained out, I am not going if it says rain, I don't want to get stuck in a tent with a 2 year old this weekend, thanks!
Had a sewing break today though, I had my weekly beading class, I am really loving beading, just another medium to express myself! :-D

Installing and installing....

Ok, so we woke up late on Sat morning, then David had to go to Home Depot to get more stuff for the pergo, so it was past noon by the time they got started. Jeff came and helped for a few hours, and Aunt Kathy stopped by for a night. She and Elizabeth and I went to ToysRus and meet a care bear, while the guys started putting the pad down that goes under the pergo. You know it is sad when the pad that goes under the flooring looks better then the floor that you had. :-P
Anyway, Jeff and David got most of the pad down before Jeff had to leave, but Chris, Iben, Anna and Felix showed up and Chris helped install some of the Pergo. Had to stop at 10 though, you need to cut the pieces, and the jigsaw is VERY loud. David got up this morning and put more in after we said goodbye to Kathy(she is headed down to see Mimi). We then had to stop again and go to his Dad's Birthday party. We didn't get back until 7, and David worked for another 2 hours in the Pergo before we had to stop Jigsawing for the night.
The Pergo goes into the kitchen but there are still a few rows to go. We also have to put the molding around the edges. Hopefully we will get the rest of the Pergo laid tmw after Elizabeth goes to bed, but that will only give us an hour to use the jigsaw. We did get far enough to put the fridge and table back though, which is really good, having the fridge and table in the living room was about to make me scream. :-)

It's late.....

Well, it is 1:42 am here on Friday night/sat morning, and we just finished pulling up all the lino tile in the kitchen and entry, wow that took a lot longer then we thought it would, we started at 9pm..... David is now filling holes and cracks in the concrete so that the floor will be even for the pergo. I am off too bed, all the dust we have been raising and fumes from heating up the tiles (they stink, let me tell you, the wonderful smell of heated up plastic and glue) have brought the cold I have been trying to fight off into full force. And Elizabeth gets up about 7:30 every morning now. Ick! I just have to keep telling myself "we will have nice floor we will have a nice floor....."

restarting my blog.....

Ok, it has been a while, and I want to try updating this again. We moved into our little house on Dec 29th, it was a huge hassle getting the last owners out, and they left a bunch of crap on the deck for almost a month, but they finally got it all, and it house was fully ours. We have been painting and unpacking, as well as fixing things. All the painting but touch ups and the kitchen are done. We will paint the bathrooms but that is not high on the list. David replaced the stove, and fixed the sink. This weekend David is installing Pergo in the dining room/kitchen/entry area, and that with the new carpet we had installed before we moved in, This house will look SO MUCH better, I can't wait! Then we can move the bookcases in the dining room, and I can start unpacking the book boxes, which should help clear out the garage. Chris and Co are coming down for John's birthday on sunday, so Chris is going to help install, that should be good. GAK is heading through too, and will also be here on Sat, so we plan on all doing dinner together.
